• Exciting opportunity to join The Office of the Secretary within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport  

• This is a Clerk Grade 11/12 role with a salary range of $154,231 - $178,369 per annum plus superannuation

• Temporary role (up to 9 months) based in Sydney CBD, hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs

• A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for roles that may become available over the next 18 months

About The Role

This temporary role will lead the development and establishment of portfolio-wide reporting and drive short-term strategic projects, governance activities and executive priorities on behalf of the Secretary. Provide strategic oversight of cross-portfolio delivery and performance reporting, and also co-ordinate time-limited projects related to machinery of government activities to support executive decision-making, organisational priorities and effective portfolio outcomes. The role may also be assigned to work across the Government Services Branch.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Government experience, with a strong understanding of parliamentary processes, executive administration, and the machinery of government.

• Proactive and outcome-focused, with the ability to identify priorities and deliver with minimal direction.

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced environments.

• Experience developing systems, processes, and reporting frameworks, including establishing new approaches where required.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across all levels, including technical experts, executives and minister’s offices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues.
