IE University's Talent & Careers Department is seeking an Associate Director to join the Strategic Initiatives team within the Employer Partnerships division.
This cross-functional team designs, launches, and scales strategic initiatives that create meaningful professional opportunities for IE students across academic programs, including employer challenges, company engagement projects, micro-internships, experiential learning initiatives, and other innovative career development experiences.
This role requires someone who is highly resourceful, agile, and execution-oriented, capable of bringing together multiple internal and external stakeholders to transform ideas into impactful initiatives. The successful candidate will help strengthen students' employability by creating innovative ways to connect them with employers and real-world professional experiences.

Madrid - IE Tower.Responsibilities
Your role as an Associate Director will involve:
Employer Partnerships
- Support the employer engagement strategy for cross-sector, multi-company, and strategic single-company initiatives that enhance students' professional profiles.
- Design and implement scalable processes that transform ideas into institutional programs, collaborating with multiple teams across and beyond Employer Partnerships.
- Act as the main liaison between Strategic Initiatives and IE's schools, academic units, and corporate departments in and outside Spain.
- Support Talent & Careers international representatives by adapting and exporting successful initiatives, processes, and best practices that strengthen employer engagement and student employability.
- Coordinate meetings, projects, and events involving internal stakeholders, corporate partners, and senior executives to strengthen strategic relationships.
Strategy & Operations
- Collect, analyze, and monitor data on employer participation, student engagement, and program outcomes to measure impact and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prepare presentations, reports, dashboards, and communication materials for internal leadership and external partners.
- Act as an ambassador for headquarters-led initiatives, ensuring successful implementation across IE's international offices.
- Provide operational, analytical, and administrative support to the Strategic Initiatives team.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Communications, or a related field is highly recommended.
- 3–5 years of experience in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish (mandatory).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using Canva, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or similar design tools.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with students, corporate partners, faculty, and senior executives.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, service-oriented, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- International mindset with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Employer Relations, Campus Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, Career Services, Higher Education, or Human Resources.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data reporting tools.
