We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role ofAssociate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Architect & Build: Design and lead the development of a new, strategic middleware using Core Java and Microservices. You will be hands-on, writing code and setting the standard for the team.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance and technical direction for the entire program. You will own the solution design and ensure it aligns with our long-term engineering strategy.
  • Drive Engineering Culture: Establish and nurture a world-class engineering culture focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement. You will mentor other engineers and lead by example.
  • Champion DevSecOps: Implement and mature a robust DevSecOps pipeline, ensuring our CI/CD processes are efficient, secure, and highly automated.
  • Pioneer AI Adoption: Act as the team's AI champion. You will identify opportunities to leverage AI tooling, demonstrate tangible benefits to the business, and foster an AI-first mindset within the engineering team.
  • Lead & Deliver: Whether as a team lead or a senior individual contributor, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of the middleware, ensuring it is built to the highest standards of quality and performance.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Extensive, hands-on experience as a senior engineer or architect, with deep expertise in Core Java and building scalable Microservices-based architectures.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering complex, large-scale systems from scratch in the financial services domain, preferably in post-trade processing.
  • Strong, practical knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools, with experience building and managing automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrable experience with AI in software development, including the use of AI coding assistants and an ability to articulate the business value of AI-driven solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers, drive technical decisions, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle, clearing, settlement, and securities servicing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
