Job Description

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Pricing Planning, Analytics & Governance

  • Own end-to-end pricing planning & analysis, discount accrual, validation & reconciliation, trend tracking and reporting across CSOPs, PB, RBU, MTP and LTP.

  • Lead pricing analysis and financial impact assessment for new product/indication launches, NRDL/VBP/PVBP, pricing governance initiatives, tenders, negotiations and policy changes.

  • Monitor net realized price, discounts and rebates, gross-to-net conversion and margin impacts by product, period, channel, customer segment and commercial program.

  • Deliver data-driven pricing recommendations and scenario analysis to support strategic management decisions and safeguard overall margin.

Pricing strategy development

  • Develop and refine robust pricing frameworks and forecasting models; drive pricing process improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, internal control and standardization.

  • Provide actionable insights to management and key stakeholders to enhance pricing governance and boost commercial performance.

  • Identify pricing risks, revenue leakage and value optimization opportunities to maximize net price realization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with Market Access, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Commercial and Global teams to align pricing strategies, forecasts, proposals and business case evaluations.

  • Transfer complex data into clear, actionable insights and effectively present analysis and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners for decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven professional experience in financial planning or data mining analysis, with solid business acumen and strong knowledge of AstraZeneca’s product portfolio or the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor and attention to details, capable of identifying financial risks and opportunities and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • High personal integrity and ethical standards, with a strong sense of independence and sound understanding of internal financial controls and governance requirements.

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with local and global teams as well as senior management

  • Proactive thinking, curiosity and flexibility to explore multiple alternatives and adapt rapidly to fast‑changing business needs at short notice.
