About the Role:

As Associate Director, you will grow chemical segment product sales in Brazil. You will identify, qualify, negotiate, and close new business to exceed sales targets and maximize sales revenue growth within the territory. You will interact with clients at some of the world's largest private and public multinational retail companies. You will uncover client needs, the buying process, and meet revenue growth targets for the Chemical Market Analytics business. You will report to the Executive Director of Sales and Business Development. This role is based in São Paulo and you will travel throughout the country as needed.

You Will:

  • Learn and become expertly versed on Chemical Market Analytics’ products and services

  • Build a strong network of relationships with key decision-makers within the customer base to increase sales of Chemical Market Analytics products and services

  • Identify revenue drivers and metrics to focus on market expansion and penetration

  • Understand product sales cycle and challenges - including the strategies of competitors, and use this knowledge to hone sales strategies

  • Develop and execute account plans & strategies for key customers in conjunction with sales & business leadership

  • Work with Product Management to ensure proper positioning of complex solutions

  • Use marketing leads and other sources to create and manage sales pipeline of new business opportunities in CRM

  • Provide monthly forecasting with a high accuracy rate to create visibility with all market owners on revenue trends and actions to drive revenues

  • Monitor performance-to-plan throughout the execution year and adjust direction, focus, and sales initiatives as needed to exceed your sales quotas

  • Work in collaboration with commercial and other representatives off Dow Jones Energy Ltd. products and services to help foment cross-selling in key accounts

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the chemical industry, including industry trends, business processes, industry financial measurements, and key competitors

You Have:

  • Business-level verbal and written English proficiency

  • 10 years' sales experience in the petroleum, refining, chemical, or related industries - including 8 years' selling complex enterprise solutions to customers in Brazil

  • Experience developing and implementing strategies for revenue growth that capitalize on the unique nature of specific environments

  • A consultative and value-selling methodology that includes deep understanding of clients' needs, challenges, and goals

  • Working knowledge of business economics

  • Experience leveraging partner and other relationships creatively

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and CRM platforms (SalesForce preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related technical field -OR- equivalent work experience

  • Spanish fluency
