Location - Singapore or Hong Kong

Salary - SGD 128,649 - SGD 154,379 + OTE

About the Team:

CDP’s Sales function is responsible for generating sales of CDP products to new customers, as well as renewing existing customers and identifying greenfield opportunities within the existing book of business. The Sales function is market and customer oriented and establishes go-to market strategies that serve key personas across financial corporates, non-financial corporates, and distributors and channels. The Sales function works closely with M&C and Customer Success to deliver a smooth customer experience.

Responsible for:

Corporates: relationship management including renewals, greenfield sales and new sales with corporates providing solutions for disclosure use cases data generation.

Financials: relationship management including renewals, greenfield sales and new sales with financial institutions focused providing solutions to financial use cases and activating the data

About this role:

This role will be a hybrid role: as a key relationship management contact for existing customers in ASEAN & ANZ, dealing with some of the most significant customers in the region, and bringing in new sales in the market of operation.

What you will do:

  • Client relationship engagement and management - Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure customer retention with some of the most high-profile strategic CDP customers. This involves understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and products of interest for existing customers. Develop greenfield opportunities.

  • New sales identification and execution: Implement and execute new sales strategies to achieve business development goals. This includes developing sales plans, setting targets, and monitoring performance against objectives.

  • Proposal development for customers. Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations to existing customers. This includes developing customized solutions that align with client needs and CDP’s value proposition.

  • Be a key influencer in market renewal strategies. This includes developing renewals plans, setting targets, and monitoring performance against objectives.

  • Sales and renewals negotiations: This includes licence and contract negotiations, understanding core use cases of CDP data.

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the team on strategy and execution.

  • Market intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback. Use this information to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.

  • Pipeline and forecasting discipline: Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting. Ensure that Dynamics 365 (D365) is kept up to date with accurate and timely input to support datadriven decision-making. A proactive and optimistic approach is essential.

  • Performance reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics. Provide regular updates to senior management.

  • Event participation: Represent CDP at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. This includes promoting CDP’s services and building relationships with potential customers.

  • Collaboration across teams. Build a strong customer picture across CDP of customer touchpoints; ensure internal communication on customer is up-to-date.

  • Continuous improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve business development processes and strategies. This includes staying updated on best practices and industry developments.

We're looking for:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in renewals and customer retention, sales, or a related field, preferably within the sustainability sector.

  • Track Record: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Customer-centric mindset. Ability to anticipate needs of customers and identify opportunities.

  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Experience in Selling: Experience in selling ideally to financial or non-financial corporates, with an understanding of customers' internal teams responsible for purchase decisions.

  • Education: Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in one or more local languages.

The salary banding for this role is SGD 128,649 - SGD 154,379 + OTE

This is a hybrid role requiring weekly time in the office
