We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join the Collins Digital Technology team, driving the strategy, governance, and operational excellence of the enterprise PLM ecosystem. In this role, you will lead digital transformation initiatives that create a unified source of truth for product data across the full lifecycle — from concept and design to production, service, and end-of-life.

Position Title: Associate Director-PLM

What You Will Do

  • Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise PLM ecosystem aligned with engineering, manufacturing, and compliance goals.
  • Lead ownership, scalability, configuration, and lifecycle management of PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter and Dassault Enovia
  • Drive business process optimization across:
    • Change control
    • Configuration management
    • Release management
    • Document control
    • BOM governance
  • Enable a strong Digital Thread strategy, ensuring seamless connectivity across design, simulation, manufacturing, and service.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Supply Chain, Quality, and Compliance teams to align PLM capabilities with enterprise priorities.
  • Define and enforce governance standards for data quality, access control, audit readiness, and compliance workflows.
  • Lead change management initiatives supporting upgrades, new feature adoption, and PLM maturity transformation.
  • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and performance tracking to drive operational excellence and service improvements.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of solution managers, analysts, and engineers.
  • Collaborate with vendor management teams to align with vendor roadmaps, licensing strategies, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and simplification of PLM processes and platforms.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of relevant experience working with PLM systems in engineering/manufacturing environments.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise PLM platforms such as:
    • Siemens Teamcenter
    • Dassault Enovia
    • Windchill
    • 3DEXPERIENCE
  • Proven leadership experience in building and executing PLM strategies and transformation roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Product lifecycle management
    • Configuration control
    • Change management
    • Release governance
    • BOM management
    • Data governance
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strong people leadership with experience building, scaling, and retaining high-performing technical teams.
  • Ability to drive measurable business outcomes through automation, standardization, and platform optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and executive influencing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, execution mindset, and ability to lead in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with MBSE integrations, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin strategies.
  • Exposure to Agile/SAFe methodologies and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Experience integrating PLM with:
    • CAD
    • ERP
    • MES
    • MBSE platforms
  • Strong understanding of API-first, self-service, and UX-first product models.
  • Experience reducing redundant systems, simplifying workflows, and improving enterprise efficiency.
  • High customer-centric mindset with focus on adoption, user experience, and measurable impact.
  • Strong vendor partnership and licensing strategy management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading global transformation programs.
