About your role

• Sourcing: Identify and engage promising startups for investment opportunities.

• Deal Execution: Conduct due diligence on potential startups, analyzing their markets and financial projections, and negotiating deal terms.

• Fundraising and Investor Relations: Assist in raising new funds, reporting to existing investors, and attracting new investors for future funding rounds.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to provide guidance to startup teams on business development, strategic planning, fundraising, and other key areas.

• Oversee client progress toward business goals, providing relevant services, resources, training, and developing new initiatives and special projects to support their growth journey.

• Organize and promote special events and networking programs connecting business and community leaders to strengthen the startup ecosystem.

• Develop success stories and case studies that demonstrate the value created for startups under the programme.

• Review and update operational procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

• Foster a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and quality improvement.

• Mentor and develop team members consistently through a supportive and collaborative approach.

What you will need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Science, or related fields; advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, ideally from MNCs, large organizations, or startup ecosystems; Responsible Officer qualification for SFC Type 9 is a plus.

• Proven successful investment track record with high-growth portfolio companies and knowledge of business incubation and accelerator best practices.

• Strong understanding of investor access for seed and growth funding, as well as budget development and management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, able to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.

• High integrity, professionalism, passion for the work, and proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
