What is needed for this job as our Associate Director of Facilities:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Are knowledgeable in carpentry and plumbing - pool maintenance experience is a plus!
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Are able to safely use power tools/equipment and work effectively in a group setting
  • Are able to complete jobs from beginning to end in a timely manner
  • Can take ownership of your work, be trustworthy and have integrity
  • Are an effective problem solver and troubleshooter
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills with members and staff

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Associate Director of Facilities:

  • Support membership satisfaction and retention through a clean, well-maintained facility and repair of equipment
  • Remain alert, proactive and responsive to day to day maintenance operations and issues across all facilities
  • Communicate maintenance issues and projects as needed that are of larger scope or scale to supervisor
  • Collaborate with staff to lead the action and communication plan of those items that are in need of repair, replacement, upgrade or improvement
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Membership Departments (Need to Know Team) in facility closures and timeline of repairs; demonstrate simple, informative, Y branded communication to members, staff and volunteers
  • Supervise Full-Time and Part-Time Facilities Staff. Ensure all Facilities Staff are demonstrating positive customer service skills with Y members, staff and volunteers
  • Inspect facilities and grounds daily for risk management, repair and maintenance needs. Complete necessary documentation via daily detailed logs, Electronic Work Orders, etc. Lead Facilities staff to support same practice accordingly
  • Support the compliance of local, state and federal regulation with fire, health, and building as related to facilities and grounds
  • Ensure pool operations are running within safety guidelines, including water clarity, temperature and chemicals are within appropriate range
  • Maintain Electronic Work Order System; uphold Facilities Staff response to Y Management within 24-48 hours
  • Support the management of all outside contractors conducting maintenance projects within the facility. i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, etc. Ensure building identification practices are followed
