As further evidence that our mission holds resonance, this year the college tracked a 25% year-over-year jump in fall new student enrollment and applications soared.

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Enterprise Systems is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for the management, optimization, and evolution of Franklin Cummings Tech’s enterprise technology systems—primarily Jenzabar (ERP/SIS), Salesforce (CRM), and supporting platforms. This role serves as the central owner of the institution’s core administrative technology stack, ensuring these systems effectively support student success, enrollment management, financial operations, and institutional reporting.

Working in close partnership with the Vice President for Finance and Administration, academic leadership, department heads, and external technology partners, the Associate Director of Enterprise Systems will set the strategic direction for how institutional systems are configured, integrated, and leveraged to meet the college’s operational and strategic needs. This individual will manage vendor relationships, lead system improvement projects, and build internal capacity for data-driven decision-making across the institution.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Jenzabar ERP/SIS Management & Optimization

• Serve as the primary institutional owner and product manager for the Jenzabar platform, including Student (SIS), Finance, Financial Aid, and Advancement modules.
• Lead the configuration, customization, and optimization of Jenzabar workflows to support Admissions, Registrar, Business Office, Financial Aid, and Human Resources operations.
• Manage Jenzabar system upgrades, patches, and module implementations in coordination with the vendor and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Jenzabar and third-party systems (e.g., Canvas LMS, payment processors, reporting tools).
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with FERPA and other regulatory requirements across all Jenzabar modules.

Salesforce CRM & Enrollment Technology

• Oversee the administration and optimization of Salesforce to support enrollment management, student recruitment, and constituent engagement.
• Partner with Admissions and Advancement teams to design and refine CRM workflows, automations, and reporting dashboards.
• Manage Salesforce integrations with Jenzabar and other campus systems to ensure seamless data flow across the student lifecycle.

Data Strategy & Institutional Reporting

• Collaborate with the CFO and institutional leadership to establish a clear vision for how data is leveraged to drive performance, accountability, and strategic planning.
• Design and deliver dashboards and reports using Jenzabar reporting tools, Salesforce, and business intelligence platforms to support decision-making at all levels.
• Support compliance reporting requirements including IPEDS, state reporting, Title IV/financial aid, and accreditation data needs.
• Champion data literacy and a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Technology Strategy & Systems Oversight

• Develop and execute a multi-year technology roadmap for institutional systems in alignment with the college’s strategic plan.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, modules, and integrations that enhance operational efficiency and the student experience.
• Oversee IT infrastructure and daily operations in partnership with IT support staff and external managed service providers.
• Guide the selection, implementation, and user adoption of new technologies across the institution.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Serve as the primary liaison to Jenzabar, Salesforce consultants, and other technology vendors and managed service providers.
• Negotiate contracts, manage service level agreements, and ensure vendor accountability and alignment with institutional goals.
• Coordinate with Insource Services and other consulting partners on technology-related initiatives.

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

• Supervise and develop IT support staff and student workers as applicable.
• Provide training and documentation to empower end-users across departments to effectively use institutional systems.
• Lead change management efforts to align stakeholders around new system implementations and process improvements.
• Manage team planning, project timelines, and technology budgeting processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises the IT Support Specialist and the Data Analyst who manages the institutional research function of the college.

Requirements

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of professional experience managing ERP systems in a higher education environment, with strong preference for Jenzabar (EX, CX, J1, or Jenzabar One) experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Student Information Systems, including admissions, registration, financial aid, and student records workflows.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration and CRM management in an educational or nonprofit setting.
• Strong understanding of data governance, FERPA compliance, and institutional reporting requirements (IPEDS, Title IV).
• Prior experience successfully managing a team of high performers.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and technology projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Salesforce Administrator certification.
• Experience at a small private college (under 1,500 students) or technical/trade institution.
• Familiarity with Canvas LMS and its integration with Jenzabar.
• Experience with modern data engineering practices, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and SQL.
• Background in IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting Title III or other federal grant-funded technology initiatives.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods while performing administrative duties associated with maintaining a college IT function.
• Ability to move throughout campus and event spaces to support IT infrastructure.
• Ability to occasionally lift and transport IT equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment & Schedule

The role requires on-campus presence to collaborate with campus departments. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required during system upgrades, go-live events, or critical reporting periods.

Our college is an in-person institution. Campus presence is the default expectation for all employees. In-person presence remains the expectation and the standard for all staff. Flex arrangements are a discretionary privilege, not a right, and may be modified or discontinued if it is determined that flex arrangements are diminishing service quality, team cohesion, or responsiveness to students, external partners, and colleagues. The student experience and fidelity of institutional operations take priority over individual schedule preferences.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000.
