Job Description

The Associate Director, Clinical Operations is responsible for organizing, directing and oversight of daily operations. Responsible for management of operational programs and services, financial oversight and staff management. Assumes fiscal responsibility through preparation of operational, capital and academic budgets for respective departments. Serves as liaison with medical staff, ancillary departments and other personnel to ensure patient advocacy. Guides and precepts nursing staff in the provision of nursing care/practice consistent with nursing standards. Promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports research and participates in strategic planning, both long and short-term departmental goals.

Qualifications

Education
  • High School Diploma/GED - minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Science in Nursing, and/or related. - preferred
  • Master's Degree Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Science in Nursing, and/or related. For Clinical Support Programs, the MSN is required. - preferred

Experience
  • 5 years Within a healthcare setting such as medical, surgical, stroke, radiation and/or related department/unit - minimum
  • 4 years Managing academic clinical department(s), service line(s), and/or related. - minimum
  • 3 years Supervisory/Management experience and overseeing department(s)/service line(s) in a healthcare setting. - minimum
