Manage the end-to-end academic planning and faculty coordination processes for an assigned portfolio of programmes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic schedules, efficient resource planning and an outstanding faculty experience. The role acts as the key operational liaison between faculty, academic leadership and operational teams, ensuring academic requirements are translated into effective and sustainable planning solutions.

Responsibilities

Your role as a Associate Director will involve:

1. Academic Planning

• Manage the academic planning process for an assigned portfolio of programmes.
• Develop and maintain teaching schedules that meet academic, operational and institutional requirements.
• Ensure academic planning milestones and deadlines are achieved.

2. Timetable Planning and Resource Optimisation

• Configure and optimise academic timetables to maximise the efficient use of faculty and institutional resources.
• Balance faculty availability, programme requirements, classroom capacity and operational constraints.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and implement appropriate solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders.

3. Faculty Coordination and Experience

• Act as the main operational point of contact for faculty throughout the academic planning cycle.
• Coordinate the collection of faculty availability, teaching preferences and academic documentation.
• Provide guidance on planning processes, institutional procedures and digital tools.

4. Academic Information Management

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency and completeness of academic planning information across institutional systems.
• Monitor teaching allocations, planning data and documentation.
• Maintain high standards of data quality.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Programme Directors, Academic Area Directors and Operational teams.
• Coordinate planning changes and communicate impacts.
• Support institutional planning standards and best practices.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes.
• Contribute to new tools, workflows and process improvements.
• Promote standardisation across academic planning.
