Job Description

Report to Director, Scientific & Commercial Strategy planning

this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the ‘end-to-end’ development and implementation of new product planning and portfolio management strategies as a disease area and/or brand owner from commercial perspective in the clinical development stage. The NPP lead plays a crucial role in identifying market opportunities, ensuring the successful launch of new products, optimizing the product portfolio based on China market practice. He/she also plays a pivotal role in leading the NPP excellence to build industry-leading practices.

Responsibilities:

Lead NPP COE

Ø Track and analyze commercial intelligence of key pipeline competitors, including BD candidates, and convert to practical commercial strategy

Ø Facilitate and manage local governance for new assets and pipeline strategy

Ø Develop and optimize Disease Factbook and NPP playbook with robust market data and industry-leading practices

Ø Drive the execution excellence of pre-launch strategic initiatives (incl. market shaping, data generation, RDL listing, etc.) by collaborating with cross-functional team and under the guidance of launch excellence

Ø Provide operational support to team leader

Accelerate end-to-end new assets development:

Ø Lead commercial assessment for pipeline assets (incl. BD candidates)– detailed inputs representing integrated country opportunity view, i.e. market size, competitive analysis, market access pathway, business model, key financials (topline, NPV, resource plan), etc.

Ø Provide China specific feedback and shape development strategy, TPP, market access strategy, etcby proactively engaging with key global PDT/CPDT cross-functional teams (incl. global marketing, market access, R&D and medical, etc.).

Ø Proactively seek acceleration opportunities and maximize commercial potential for new product launch by leveraging policies, internal governance, or benchmarking industry best practices. Oversee and mitigate the risks of launch delays.

Ø Prepare CDRC/LDRC key gate approval documents by providing robust business case, key management business recommendations, and drive key stakeholders’ buy-in.

Requirements

+10 years above industry experience, deep understanding of China pharma market dynamics, clinical development and regulatory. At least 5 years in New Product Launch & Portfolio Management or Strategic Marketing role in MNC, primary care, in-line marketing, consulting, BD within a plus.

Strong strategic thinking and be able to generate high-level business recommendations based on market insights.

Strong Business acumen, solid analytical skills and ability to transfer insights into commercial portfolio strategies.

Strong leadership with influence power and strives for excellent results.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, cross-functional teams, and senior management.

High agility in learning and cooperation.

English as working language.

Solid project management skills.

Cross culture sensitivity, may gained from oversea’ s education/working experiences.

Medical education, Master Degree preferred, overseas education a plus.
