We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director.

You’ll assist our Relationship Directors in building relationships by identifying and meeting existing and prospective customer needs. This will include indentifying product and service opportunities, carrying out customer research, driving new to bank origination, financial and credit analysis, and helping the Relationship Director prepare for customer meetings. You’ll also be responsible for the co-ordination of complex credit applications or renewals, and risk escalation management. In the absence of the Director, you’ll act as the focal point for the relationship, products, and services.

In this role you'll:

  • Provide support to the Relationship Directors to enable them to optimise the potential value of client relationships, improve client engagement, and deliver needs-based solutions and fair outcomes for customers
  • Enable proactive client management by attending client meetings with the Relationship Director as necessary and acting as the first point of contact for customer’s credit-related enquiries
  • Participate in deal discussions with clients alongside the Director to acquire an understanding of the relationship and facilitate the management of complex local/international credit cases
  • Prepare appropriate analysis, proposals, and presentations to prospective customers
  • Support on day-to-day activities including client planning, activities to drive new to bank origination, and pipeline management
  • Support in coordinating with product partners and ensuring data and call reports are accurately and timely updated

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Commercial or Corporate banking experience is essential
  • Experience working in a client facing environment would be advantageous
  • Ability to gather, analyse and interpret comprehensive information and/or customer requirements, to provide solutions that are commercially viable and sustainableCredit and lending experience with knowledge of writing credit papers etc
  • Influencing skills and ability to builds positive working relationships with our customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Ability to anticipate and identify risks and ensures appropriate steps are taken to mitigate and manage them
  • Planning and organisational skills to manage the unexpected as well as anticipated issues or events

This is a hybrid position with the base location being flexible between Guildford and Maidstone. Clients are based predominantly in the South East, so it’s important that you’re based within an easily commutable distance of this region.
