Your new role
As the Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (AD MSL) at Novo Nordisk Canada with the Cardiometabolic team, you will lead and develop a field-based MSL team to translate medical strategy into high-impact territory plans. You will ensure scientific excellence, compliance with Canadian regulatory standards, and the effective capture and elevation of field insights to inform broader medical and business decisions. Your role balances hands‑on coaching, stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration to optimize patient care and team performance.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:
This is a field‑based role that is based in Ontario, preferrable in the Greater Toronto area (GTA) but will also cover regions in Quebec so you should expect a flexible schedule that sometimes includes evening or weekend activities to meet with stakeholders. The position involves frequent travel—locally, regionally, nationally and occasionally internationally—with travel time of up to ~80%, often including overnight stays. We’re looking for candidates who are legally permitted to work in Canada and hold a valid driver’s licence.
Your new department
Reporting to the Medical Director, you will lead a team of MSLs while collaborating with Head Office colleagues and other Therapeutic Area Associate Directors of MSLs. You will also work closely with subject matter experts in the Medical and Field Excellence team to ensure appropriate insights, analytics, and reporting, as well as training for the field medical teams. The department fosters a collaborative and cross-therapeutic environment, where your leadership will contribute to achieving Novo Nordisk's mission of improving patient outcomes.
