As our new Associate Director (Lead) Sustainability Consultant, you’ll be a key part of our Queensland Sustainability team, based in Brisbane. You’ll help shape and deliver sustainable outcomes across built environment and infrastructure, working with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to integrate sustainability from early concept design through to practical completion.

Engineering possibilities, the Aurecon Way.

What will you do?

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to embed sustainability outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical sustainability advice and help clients navigate increasingly complex sustainability challenges.
  • Build trusted client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of our sustainability offering.
  • Mentor and develop team members, sharing your expertise and supporting their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with sustainability specialists across disciplines including architecture, engineering, urban planning and environmental services.

What are we looking for?

We recognise that sustainability is a broad and evolving field and we welcome candidates from a range of professional and technical backgrounds.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Relevant experience in sustainable buildings and/or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Sustainability Lead or Project Manager across multiple Green Star and/or ISC projects, including integrating sustainability outcomes from concept design through to practical completion.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability combined with your own area of technical expertise.
  • Strong stakeholder and client engagement skills, with the ability to influence sustainable project outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching and supporting the development of others.
  • Green Star or ISC Accredited Professional status is preferred, but not essential.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
