Work Your Magic with us!

Ready to explore, break barriers, and discover more? We know you’ve got big plans – so do we! Our colleagues across the globe love innovating with science and technology to enrich people’s lives with our solutions in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics. Together, we dream big and are passionate about caring for our rich mix of people, customers, patients, and planet. That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.

United As One for Patients, our purpose in Healthcare is to help create, improve and prolong lives. We develop medicines, intelligent devices and innovative technologies in therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology and Fertility. Our teams work together across 6 continents with passion and relentless curiosity in order to help patients at every stage of life. Joining our Healthcare team is becoming part of a diverse, inclusive and flexible working culture, presenting great opportunities for personal development and career advancement across the globe.

Your role:

In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of advanced AI solutions within the Advanced Data Science team in the Data Sciences organization. You will lead the translation of complex scientific and operational workflows into scalable AI-enabled applications that create measurable value across pharmaceutical Research & Development.

Working closely with scientists, business stakeholders, Applied AI Engineers, software engineers, and machine learning experts, you will define the end-to-end technical approach for priority use cases. You will guide the design of agentic workflows that combine large language models, enterprise knowledge, structured and unstructured data, analytical models, scientific tools, and human expertise. You will remain hands-on, contributing directly to rapid prototyping and technical implementation while coordinating delivery across the team.

You will establish effective engineering and solution-design practices for agentic AI applications, including workflow decomposition, agent orchestration, context and memory management, tool integration, human-in-the-loop interactions, evaluation, error handling, and resilience. You will ensure that prototypes are designed with a clear path toward maintainable, secure, and production-ready solutions, while promoting reuse of components and lessons across use cases.

You will work in close partnership with IT architecture, engineering, and platform teams to leverage approved enterprise capabilities and align solutions with technology, security, integration, and operational standards. Your role will focus on the technical design and delivery of R&D use cases, complementing IT ownership of shared platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, production environments, and long-term technology operations.

As the technical lead, you will mentor engineers, facilitate technical decisions, and foster a culture that combines rapid experimentation with scientific and engineering rigor. Staying at the forefront of advances in large language models, agentic AI, multimodal AI, and intelligent workflow automation, you will translate emerging technologies into practical solutions that improve scientific decision-making and the way healthcare pharma teams work.

Location: Israel

Who you are:

  • You hold a master’s degree or PhD or a similar academic credentials in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in AI engineering, machine learning, software engineering, or the delivery of advanced data and AI solutions.
  • You possess a proven track record of technically leading complex AI or software solutions from initial concept and rapid prototyping through user validation and production deployment.
  • You have hands-on experience developing applications based on large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, agentic AI, or intelligent workflow automation.
  • You have strong expertise in designing end-to-end AI solutions that integrate models, data sources, enterprise services, scientific tools, and user-facing applications.
  • You have a strong understanding of agent orchestration, context engineering, memory, reasoning and planning patterns, human-in-the-loop design, and the evaluation of non-deterministic AI systems.
  • You possess strong programming skills in Python and practical experience with modern software engineering practices, including version control, automated testing, APIs, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-based development environments.
  • You understand how to balance rapid experimentation with requirements for scalability, maintainability, security, auditability, and production readiness.
  • You have experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, conducting design and code reviews, and establishing effective engineering practices.
  • You can collaborate effectively with enterprise IT, architecture, security, data, and platform teams within a matrixed organization.
  • You possess excellent analytical, stakeholder-management, and communication skills, enabling you to translate between scientific, business, and technical communities.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated environment is considered an advantage.
