About the Role

As a Director, Institutional, you will manage the client relationship with Institutional clients in line with the Bank’s strategy and overall business target. You will contribute to the business initiatives in improving overall business mix and key business growth. You will manage credit risk to a desired level and ensure appropriate overall Rev/RWA from client relationships. You will also focus on 8-10 key Korean Clients and also support the Institutional team in activities like annual reviews, client on-boarding process, client events etc.

What will your day look like?

  • Development and execution of strategies necessary for business growth opportunities with existing customers and acquisition of new customers.
  • Up-tiering client relationship and to deliver the ‘bank to them’ by working with product teams, client insights, BPM on the account planning.
  • Developing a network of contacts which will assist in achieving overall business strategy of sourcing new business, maximising existing business and increasing competitiveness.
  • Set workflow control by ensuring key tasks and activities are prioritised and managed.
  • Reviewing credit memoranda and diary notes to ensure that all risk inherent in credit exposures are identified and assessed.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong understanding of customer needs, buying behaviour and competitive landscape including knowledge of the political, economic, and regulatory environment that the customer and ANZ operates within.
  • Good credit administration skills gained through the expertise and experiences in related fields.
  • Good knowledge of banking products, accountings standards and risk management processes
  • Ability to conduct detailed account planning in a collaborative and effective manner including identification of cross-sell opportunities across whole of bank and development of customer strategies and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex discussions with key senior stakeholders, multi-touch client engagement and demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and well-versed in MS Office tools and applications.
