Associate Director, Industry Engagement, Temporary, Sydney 

• Clerk Grade 11/12 
• $154,231 to $178,369 base plus 12% super and leave loading, commensurate with experience 
• Temporary role up to January 2027, with the potential to become ongoing.

About 

The Associate Director Industry Engagement provides expert strategic advice and leads the planning and delivery of industry engagement initiatives that strengthen Infrastructure NSW’s (INSW) relationships with industry stakeholders. The role uses targeted communications, consultation and collaboration to support INSW’s objectives and engagement with industry.

Some of the key accountabilities for the role include: 

• Lead and develop a high-performing industry engagement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Lead the development and delivery of industry engagement strategies, programs and consultation activities that support Infrastructure NSW’s strategic priorities.
• Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on stakeholder sentiment, emerging issues and industry trends to inform decision-making and policy outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, government and infrastructure partners to strengthen collaboration and advance shared objectives.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and issues management activities, including responses to complex, sensitive and high-profile matters, and prepare high-quality briefings for executives, ministers and government stakeholders.

About You 

You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience, along with demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering stakeholder engagement and communication strategies that achieve results in complex and fast-paced environments. You are a skilled communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to lead change, influence diverse stakeholders and navigate sensitive, confidential and potentially contentious issues with sound judgement. A strong understanding of government processes and operating environments will support your success in this role.
