Gilead is seeking an Associate Director, HCP Promo, Long- Acting Treatment to champion the launch of our next groundbreaking HIV therapy – a long-acting treatment. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Director, HCP Marketing and play a central part in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to bring this transformative new treatment for people living with HIV.

In this role you will:

  • Support the development of bold, differentiated HCP campaigns and messaging that build confidence and enable informed prescribing decisions
  • Drive integrated, multi-channel promotional strategies to educate HCPs and accelerate product adoption
  • Optimize promotional effectiveness through targeted segmentation, data-driven insights, and continuous performance improvement
  • Be at the forefront of healthcare innovation and new approaches to enhance HCP engagement

& Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the HCP strategy, launch plan, and annual tactical plan
  • Drive execution of HCP campaigns and tactics aligned to brand strategy
  • Responsible for contributions towards campaign and tactic Launch Readiness Reviews, timing, coordination, and execution for HCP strategy
  • Co-lead development of HCP Personal Promotions call flow, objection handling, and materials collaborating closely with sales/sales leadership to ensure seamless execution
  • Defines campaign objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop data collection and reporting frameworks
  • Leverage market research, field insights, and data analytics to refine strategy and optimize campaigns
  • Partner closely with Sales, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Market Access, Analytics, and other stakeholders to deliver aligned execution
  • Lead or contribute to high-visibility cross-functional initiatives
  • Manage AOR to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of strategy and tactics; support management of agency relationship and budgets
  • Gains approval for marketing materials through internal review process including management reviews and Med-Legal-Reg. Secures final production
  • Works well cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Market Research, Sales Analytics and Managed Markets and other key internal stakeholders to identify synergies, solve key business problems and apply optimizations to the overall efforts
  • Leads or serves as a key project team member on cross-functional projects, often with high visibility to senior management within the organization

Competencies and Expertise Required:

  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated HCP marketing campaigns
  • Proven ability in the execution of complex initiatives within the marketing mix which require tactful cross-functional execution
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and their impact on marketing
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate insights into action
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills and ability to communicate to a variety of groups and audiences efficiently and productively
  • Ability to successfully work with external agencies, including advertising, public relations, and medical education vendors to develop programs and materials
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, with an understanding of expense budget planning and tracking

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of marketing experience,

or

  • Master’s degree or PhD with at least 8 years of marketing experience

Preferred:

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • A minimum of 4-6 years in product marketing or advertising focused HCPs
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management including planning, prioritization, execution, analytical assessment, and performance management
  • Experience working in launch environments and dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate and lead strategic partners, key stakeholders, and internal teams for strong collaboration & teamwork
  • Excellent communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate both orally and written
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, attend conferences, market research, meetings with key stakeholders

The salary range for this position is: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
