The Opportunity:

HKA has taken substantial measures to grow our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages service line over the last few years. In our success so far, we are looking to continue that trend by seeking a qualified, experienced Associate Director with relevant experience in the Commercial Damages space. The focus will be on Insurance Claims, Business Interruption, Lost Profits, Intellectual Property, Investigations, and related disputes.

Responsibilities

• Manage client projects by collating research and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.

• Conduct fact-based investigations to test the validity of allegations using proven investigative approaches and the latest technology.

• Communicate with client project liaison on a consistent basis.

• Draft and manage Expert Reports and handle Litigation Support responsibilities.

• Build complex models to analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and databases.

• Conduct technology-enabled analysis of data to identify anomalies, relationships, or trends.

• Communicate with clients using varying levels of complexity to relay data, findings and suggestions and manage their expectations effectively.

• Work within deadlines/priorities across multiple projects, delegating/collaborating with team members.

• A positive and collaborative way of working, fostering good internal and external relationships whilst maintaining the confidential nature of client relationships and related work products.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degrees in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Forensic Consulting or similar Financial Consulting roles focused on the following:

• Analysis and calculation of damages in commercial disputes

• Experience with insurance claims services

• Analyzing delays, disruptions and cost overruns due to unforeseen events

• Forensic and Investigation Services

• Expert Reporting and Litigation Support

• Demonstratable Data Analysis expertise

• CPA, CBV, CFE, or CFI designation strongly preferred.
