About the Role:

As an Associate Director Finance Business Partner Operations Finance you will be a key member of our Global Operations Finance team and will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of BioNTech.

Your Contribution:

  • Act as the strategic Finance Business Partner for Global Supply Operations (GSO) and External Supply Organization (ESO), supporting the financial management of complex external manufacturing operations.
  • Take responsibility for establishing transparency, steering performance, and driving financial excellence across BioNTech's global network of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  • Implement and maintain a global COGS database serving as the single source of truth for cost of goods sold across BioNTech.
  • Drive the budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, and variance analysis processes for CMO-related activities.
  • Support make-or-buy decisions, business cases, and strategic supply network optimization initiatives.
  • Contribute to the further development of BioNTech's CMO controlling framework and SAP S/4HANA-based reporting and analytics landscape.
  • Drive continuous improvement and harmonization of controlling processes across internal and external manufacturing sites as well as across multiple Finance Business Partnering functions.
  • Prepare management presentations, financial performance reviews, and decision-making materials for senior leadership.

A Good Match:

  • A university degree in Business Administration or Economics with a focus on Finance/Controlling/Accounting combined with at least 5 years of professional experience, ideally within a production environment.
  • Mindset matters: You are eager to make an impact, take ownership, and view a constantly changing environment as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ideally, you have gained international experience, for example through a semester abroad or international assignments.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP/S4HANA and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
