Business Overview

The team provides expertise in Talent Acquisition, Organisational Development and Learning, Reward and Performance, and Employee Relations.

The Role

This position will be responsible for the delivery of key Employee Relations, Workplace Health & Safety and Policy related projects as assigned to improve the function’s operational expertise and technical ability and reduce organization risk. It will provide technical employee relations advice and guidance in the following areas across all of IFM’s office locations globally:

- Provide coaching to P&C team members and business leaders in respect of employee relations, employment policy and people management practices.

- Establish key toolkits and processes, templates and procedures for effective and consistent management of employee relations matters.

- Provide technical advice and guidance to P&C team members and business leaders when dealing with technical employee relations matters.

- Engage with external legal counsel on ER matters as required.

- Interpret and communicate external counsel advice in the context of the IFM policy and ER matters to P&C team members and business leaders as appropriate.

Your Background and Experience

  • Strong ER or employment law background with minimum 8yrs experience (exposure to financial services preferred but not essential)
  • Deep experience and knowledge in discipline areas of employee relations, legislation interpretation and application, and change management, workplace health & safety, experience in policy interpretation and drafting (Australia and cross jurisdictional)
  • Exposure to HR discipline areas such as engagement, culture, leadership development etc.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and business partnerships with others – being a credible ‘trusted advisor’.
  • Strong track record effectively coaching team members and peers
  • Has the courage to challenge others in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Relevant post-secondary education and or degree in HR Management or Employee Relations
