This role is highly collaborative, working in a matrixed environment with numerous internal and external stakeholders, while leading a team focused on our dermatology therapeutic area. Working in close alignment with US marketing and key GMA functions, this role designs and delivers a strong US dermatology medical strategy that integrates with and contributes to the broader global medical strategy.

Position Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with brand marketing and medical team members on medical insights and messaging that inform strategic development and implementation of brand marketing plans and product responses to competitors for both on-market and future innovative product launches.
  • Serve as a member of the Global Dermatology Steering Committee, contributing to globally aligned dermatology medical strategy and ensuring US priorities and insights are represented at the global level.
  • Lead / co-lead the US Dermatology Therapeutic Focus Group, bringing together veterinary colleagues to advance scientific and medical alignment across the portfolio.
  • Work in close partnership with the broader GMA team, including Medical Portfolio Support colleagues across therapeutic areas, Medical Education, KOL and Strategic Partnerships, and Clinical Research, to ensure coordinated and non-duplicative medical strategy delivery.
  • Create and/or guide agency or KOL-generated medical content for products across the aligned portfolio; participate as a subject matter expert in the medical review of brand-aligned content.
  • Develop cross-portfolio expertise to provide collaborative and coordinated medical support that aligns to business needs and market dynamics.

People Leadership and Management

  • Conduct structured, ongoing performance conversations grounded in clear goals, documented feedback, and development priorities aligned to both individual growth and business needs.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members through regular 1:1s, feedback, and development plans to strengthen medical capabilities and leadership behaviors.
  • Set clear objectives and expectations; drive accountability through performance management, recognition, and timely course-correction.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, inclusive team culture that reflects Zoetis values; model psychological safety and constructive challenge.
  • Manage team workload and priorities; remove barriers, allocate resources effectively, and enable high-quality, on-time delivery across the portfolio.

Clinical Studies and Customer Experience Programs

  • Identify future trends and marketplace dynamics, working across functional teams to inform data generation priorities and contribute to study plans that address evolving clinical needs.
  • Collaborate with relevant internal teams to support the execution of customer-facing early experience programs, ensuring they are medically sound and aligned to portfolio strategy.

Medical Education Strategy: Internal & External

  • Partner with the GMA Medical Education team to develop and execute a comprehensive medical education strategy for the dermatology portfolio, ensuring programming is grounded in sound science and aligned to brand and GMA priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the GMA Medical Education team throughout the design and development of customer-facing education programs, ensuring consistent quality standards are maintained across all portfolio areas both in the US and globally.
  • Work in coordination with Learning and Development to ensure medical/technical content within field force training programs is accurate, consistent, and aligned to key brand messages and the medical education strategy.
  • Identify needs for new and enhanced medical presentations and lead their development in close coordination with the dermatology team and the broader GMA derm portfolio team, leveraging existing expertise and content across US and global teams before engaging external SMEs, to avoid duplication of effort.
