The Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Machining Commodity is seeking an experienced, energetic, proactive Assoc. Dir., Commodity Mgmt. & Sourcing . This role owns the execution of long-term plans and will be responsible to develop the strategic approach for the GSS Machining commodity. They will create, execute, and manage various subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.), using source selection techniques.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature including development of supplier Statements of Work and conducts bidders’ conferences as required.
• Responsible for early subcontractor identification and engagement to support new business pursuits
• Responsible for overall relationship with multiple strategic accounts across the Interiors commodity.
• Ensures Interiors commodity is performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality, and cost perspective. Develops supplier risk and opportunity management plans and may lead, initiate and/or participate in supplier assessments and/or development activities.
• This individual can work at any Collins domestic location or remote. They will also lead the development of detailed project plans, host regular project reviews with supply chain teams and other stakeholders, including SBU executives.
• Responsible for collaborating in a cross-functional, highly matrixed environment in order to advance the multiple projects within their scope.
• Responsible for building a team of strategic sourcing machining subject matter experts.
• Responsible for serving their team as a point of escalation, coach, and mediator.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a BE/ Master’s Degree and minimum 15+ years prior relevant experience in Supply chain /Machining Commodity preferably manufacturing industry
• Must have experience reading and understanding drawings, and other engineering documents including complex statements of work (SOWs)
• Prior Price Analysis experience
• Prior experience directly managing the relationship with suppliers 
• Past Procurement experience 
• International Procurement experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Commodity management and sourcing
• Prior experience with Collins’ work transition process
• APICS or ISM certifications
