Overview

This is a hybrid position. Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs.

The Associate Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the administrative and clinical operations of Central Health by providing leadership in the development and implementation of clinical programs and initiatives. This pivotal role involves managing key initiatives independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. This position will oversee the Medical Executive Board (MEB), direct supervision of administrative personnel, and assist the Clinical Services Department as needed. The Associate Director of Clinical Services will work in collaboration with the Director of Operations, Clinical Services, the Director of Quality and Care Model, Clinical Services, and the Director of Education and Research, Clinical Services for the program design, implementation, and sustainment of standardized processes, and continuous improvement. This position is an adviser to operations, nursing, and clinical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises and oversees multiple administrative staff members within Clinical Services, ensuring accurate and timely role/duty completion.
  • In collaboration with the Human Resource Department, ensures oversight and management of Administrative team members’ orientation, competency, and training records are completed in a timely manner and stored in theappropriate source of record.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership for Clinical Services Administrative Team and develop and manage recruitment and retention strategies for areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures staff compliance with the organization’s clinical goals and the methods used to achieve the defined benchmarks, and communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Supports the Director of Operations by providing leadership in the development and implementation of innovative programs/initiatives to address and improve the health status of patients served and to use resources to increase access, improve quality, and maintain or reduce cost.
  • Supports and participates in strategic business initiatives and plans for areas of responsibility and develops goals, objectives, and financial projections to ensure successful implementation.
  • In collaboration with MEB and organizational leadership, define and manage overall objectives, scope, schedule, and deliverables of the MEB and its committees, and measurement to ensure organizational capacity to drive delivery system changes and oversee Central Health’s practice of medicine. Serving as the lead and/or working with others to manage MEB and committee activities, plan agendas, and develop meeting materials per MEB policies, standard operating procedures, and guidance from MEB and committee chairs and organizational leadership.
  • Effectively deploy change management techniques to improve MEB and related program outcomes, including policy creation/updates to comply with regulatory and governing bodies.
  • Performs any other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted) Healthcare related field. - Required
  • Master's Degree (higher degree accepted) Healthcare related field. - Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 6 years Progressive leadership experience. - Required
  • 5 years Management experience in a healthcare setting. - Required
  • 5 years Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups. - Required
  • Demonstrate ability to organize, manage, implement larger projects in a healthcare delivery environment setting. - Required
  • Experience and/or knowledge of accreditation and regulatory process and requirements, as well as all federal, state, and local regulations. - Preferred
