Job Description

Cardiometabolic Marketing Associate Director

Cairo, Egypt

Shape how millions of people discover and access life-changing treatments – by leading an integrated marketing strategy that puts the consumer at the centre of everything.

Your new role

As Cardiometabolic Marketing Associate Director, you will define and execute the affiliate's integrated marketing strategy across both consumers and healthcare professionals. This is not a traditional campaign management role – you will orchestrate the full demand generation ecosystem, connecting brand strategy, customer engagement, and commercial outcomes into a coherent, insight-driven system.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the end-to-end marketing strategy across consumer and HCP audiences, ensuring alignment between global brand direction and local affiliate execution
  • Leading demand orchestration across the full funnel – from awareness and consideration through to conversion and retention
  • Embedding insights-led decision making by partnering closely with Consumer Insights to translate data into actionable strategies that shape investment and priorities
  • Overseeing brand strategy, media planning, content development, and digital activation to ensure best-in-class execution across all channels
  • Driving marketing ROI through analytics, performance tracking, and a culture of experimentation and continuous optimisation
  • Building a high-performing marketing team with deep expertise in digital, media, and insights – transitioning from agency-driven execution to internal strategic ownership
  • Establishing a scalable, agile marketing operating model aligned with the Affiliate of the Now vision

Your new department

Novo Nordisk Egypt is part of a leading global healthcare company with more than 100 years of innovation in diabetes care and a growing presence in obesity and other serious chronic diseases. Guided by our purpose to drive change to defeat serious chronic diseases, we are committed to improving the lives of patients across Egypt through innovation, collaboration, and sustainable business growth.

Within this affiliate, you will sit on the leadership team as the voice of the consumer – ensuring that strategic decisions are grounded in deep insights and that marketing serves as the engine connecting brand ambition with measurable commercial impact. You will lead a team that is evolving rapidly, with a clear mandate to raise the bar on digital excellence, integrated engagement, and capability building.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a senior marketing leader who thrives at the intersection of consumer insight, brand strategy, and commercial delivery. You will bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, ideally with a background in FMCG, consumer health, OTC, or hybrid roles combining consumer marketing and healthcare exposure
  • Strong expertise in brand management, digital marketing, and integrated multi-channel campaigns
  • A deep understanding of consumer behaviour, media strategy, and digital ecosystems, with a track record of driving measurable demand generation outcomes
  • Experience building and developing high-performing marketing teams and transitioning operating models toward greater internal strategic ownership
  • The ability to influence leadership level through storytelling, strategic clarity, and cross-functional collaboration
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred
