The Associate Director,Biostatisticshas sufficient experience working as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry to independently perform and lead statistical work within a project,an indicationwithin a more complex project. This individualis able tolead, and direct biostatistics work either in house orpartneringwith CROs to ensure delivery to quality and time
You willbe responsible for
The Associate Director, Biostatistics may work as a lead statistician
For a project orindicationin clinical or preclinical therapeutic areas
Leading the delivery and oversight on a multiple studies/indicationwithin a project, potentially as a Global Project Statistician for a standard drug project
Contributing to statistical methodological advances
Accountabilities for supporting projects directly include:
Lead the statistical thinking and contributions to the delivery of studies, development plans, regulatory strategy, health technologyassessmentand/or commercialactivities
Direct project work, including statistical staff and/or CRO partners, to ensure delivery to standards, quality, andtime
Develop design options and provide high quality decision support to enable the business to make informed decisions about a study orproject
Quantify the benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of the emerging asset/productprofile
Investigate and apply novel statistical approaches, for relevant statistical issues and/or regulatory guidance and/or value demonstration, including modelling andsimulation
Leverage standardization to maximize global data integration andinterpretability
Mentor/coach and support the education and training of statisticsstaff
You will need to have:
3 years’ experienceand an MSc/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics (containingasubstantialstatisticalcomponent), or recognized equivalent to statsMSc
Strong knowledge of programming in R and/or SAS
Knowledge ofthe technical and regulatory requirements related to therole
Excellent communication skills, andability to build strongrelationships
Flexible, well-organized, andpossessthe ability to work well underpressure

We wouldpreferfor you to have:
PhD in Statistics/Biostatisticsispreferred
Project management skills
Proficiencyin SAS and R languages
Knowledge of Bayesian statistics from theory to computation is a plus
