About the Role

As the Associate Director for Balance Sheet Trading, you will play a critical role within the Global Balance Sheet Trading team in Singapore.

This role has two key mandates. First, you will be responsible for managing funding and liquidity requirements for Singapore and supporting Global Markets and other ANZ branches as required across key liquidity metrics including Cash, LCR and NSFR. Second, you will contribute to revenue generation through the active management of funding, mismatch, liquid asset and FVTPL portfolios.

You will work closely with Treasury, Risk, Operations and Markets stakeholders to optimise liquidity, funding and balance sheet outcomes while ensuring compliance with regulatory, capital and risk management requirements.

What will your day look like?

As the Associate Director for Balance Sheet Trading, you will:

• Manage liquidity and funding requirements across key regulatory and internal metrics, including Cash, LCR, NSFR and related balance sheet measures
• Develop and execute funding, trading and hedging strategies to optimise portfolio performance and contribute to revenue generation
• Manage liquidity, mismatch, liquid asset and FVTPL portfolios while operating within approved risk, capital and regulatory parameters
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to support funding and trading activities
• Drive process, platform and control enhancements that strengthen operational effectiveness and support non-financial risk uplift initiatives

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Extensive experience in Balance Sheet Trading, Treasury, Markets or a related financial markets environment
• Deep understanding of liquidity and funding management, including Cash Management, LCR, NSFR, FTP and liquidity stress testing
• Strong quantitative, analytical and risk management skills, with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes
• Experience developing and executing trading, hedging or balance sheet optimisation strategies
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
• Ability to manage change, exercise sound judgement and deliver results in a dynamic environment
• Experience managing USD and SGD funding and liquidity portfolios
• Experience managing profit-generating portfolios within a Treasury or Markets environment
• Knowledge of SGD and USD derivatives, including futures and OIS products
• Understanding of cross-currency basis and FX swap markets, particularly USD/SGD
• Experience supporting transfer pricing, deposit pricing and liquidity management frameworks
• Knowledge of front-to-back product lifecycles and operational risk management within Markets businesses
• Bachelor’s or higher in Finance, Economics or other relevant degree (will be advantageous)
