Mechanical engineer with experience in design and application engineering of Packaged / Rotating equipment across Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Manufacturing sectors such as Batteries, Pharma, etc.

Experience in handling package / rotating equipment like:

  1. Pumps: Centrifugal, Rotary, Positive Displacement (PD)
  2. Compressors: Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Screw
  3. Fans and Blowers
  4. Mechanical Packages: Instrument Air, Chemical Injection, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment, Chillers, Filters, Incinerators, Boilers, Desuperheaters, Static Mixers, Agitators etc.
  5. Well versed with relevant equipment codes & standards like API, ASME, ANSI, etc.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of Mechanical Datasheets and Material Requisitions.
  2. Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), manage clarifications and issue Technical Bid Summaries / Recommendation.
  3. Preparation and issuance of Purchase Requisitions.
  4. Review of vendor drawings and documents during detailed engineering.
  5. Cross-functional coordination with clients, vendors, and other disciplines.
  6. Participation in Design Review Meetings, PIMs, HAZOPs, and Model Reviews.
  7. Manage change control and track package-level modifications.
  8. Support inspection and testing activities.
  9. Participate in expediting visits, shop inspections, and performance test runs

Basic Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

5-20 years of experience into design and detail engineering.

Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work in multicultural, global project environments across time zones.

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Professional registration

• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials

• Practical field experience

• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
