Department: Academic – as part of our partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU)
Location: Any GBS UK campus (On-Site)
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum
Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Our Vision: Changing lives through education
The role: We are seeking an Associate Dean (Teaching Excellence) who will be accountable for the Faculty’s framework for assuring, evaluating and continuously improving teaching quality, and for providing independent assurance to the Dean on the quality and effectiveness of teaching across all campuses, delivery modes, and teaching schedules.
You will be responsible for teaching quality assurance, lecturer observation, academic staff development, teaching performance improvement, and the implementation of learning and teaching policies across the Faculty. Teaching quality is evaluated through objective evidence of student engagement, student satisfaction, academic performance, student outcomes, and professional judgement, rather than through observation activity alone.
You will also be expected to maintain a visible and active academic presence across delivery locations and teaching schedules, with direct insight into teaching quality, teaching practice and the consistent implementation of Faculty learning and teaching standards.
N.B. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
