About the role

At QIC, you'll do more than analyse credit. This is an outstanding opportunity for an early-career investment professional to join the fixed income investment team within QIC’s Liquid Markets Group in Brisbane and build their technical capability, deepen their understanding of financial markets and learn from experienced investment management professionals in a supportive, high-performing environment. In this role you'll be encouraged to develop your skills, grow your technical expertise and build a long-term career in fixed income funds management.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct credit research across corporate, financial and securitised debt issuers.
  • Participate in debt investor presentations and engage with issuer management teams.
  • Contribute to relative value analysis and credit investment recommendations
  • Contribute to macro credit views with insights from bottom-up research and market analysis.
  • Integrate ESG considerations into investment research and decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and senior credit specialists across the team.

About You

You are curious, analytical and motivated to build a career in Australian fixed income markets. You enjoy understanding businesses, critically examining investment opportunities and working collaboratively to achieve strong outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Experience in credit financial analysis or similar analytical role.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial judgement.
  • A positive, self-starting attitude with an eagerness to learn from others as part of a collaborative work style.
  • A genuine interest in credit, fixed income and liquid markets.

If you’re ready to deepen your credit markets expertise, work alongside experienced investors and contribute to real portfolio decisions, we’d love to hear from you.
