Markets & Securities Services is responsible for the provision of multi-product coverage of Australian, New Zealand and international Corporate & Institutional clients including banks, asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, wealth managers and Sovereign Wealth Funds across multiple products. Our Markets business is one of the largest of its kind in the world. It combines sophisticated 24- hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets. Our services are offered both online and offline in more than 60 countries and territories worldwide. We specialise in foreign exchange, credit and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.

Taking on the role of Associate Corporate Sales with a cross-asset focus, you will support corporate clients with origination, structuring and execution of risk management and financing solutions. Working closely with our senior sales, structuring and trading teams, you will help deliver FX, rates, commodities and balance sheet solutions tailored to clients’ treasury objectives, including hedging, funding, liquidity and cross-border risk management. As part of a small team, there is the opportunity for exposure to a broad variety of work, covering the entire corporate spectrum of clients in Australia, whilst still being part of a truly global bank with a strong global reputation.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing day-to-day corporate sales coverage utilising the full suite of markets offerings including FX solutions, rates and commodities.
• Developing and servicing a portfolio of corporate clients through a deep understanding of their needs and originating aligned solutions accordingly, leveraging the bank’s depth of product expertise and thought leadership.
• Developing trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders including Corporate & Institutional banking Relationship Management team, transactional bankers and other Product Partners to service clients’ needs, drive revenue generation and growth, greater product penetration and improve share of wallet.
• Enabling ongoing revenue generation and portfolio growth, through continuing to build aligned skills and experience.
• Proactive involvement with continuous improvement of efficiency and processes to support objectives.
• Practicing excellent governance in line with compliance and operational risk policies, external regulations and the law, maintaining a robust control environment with early identification and escalation of issues that arise.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Demonstrated experience working with corporate clients in a similar markets role in a bank.
• Experience developing and maintaining lasting trusted relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders across the CIB business, whilst improving product penetration and wallet share.
• Good knowledge and understanding of foreign exchange (FX) instruments and interest rate derivatives products.
• Sound understanding of a corporate client’s requirements, with exposure to corporate treasury functions
• A good understanding of Capital Markets, covering foreign exchange instruments (spot, options, swaps, forwards and futures) and interest rate derivatives and an ability to understand & manage a diverse and sometimes complex, product set.
• Strong communication, negotiation / influencing and presentation skills with an analytical mindset.
• Experience and understanding of leveraging globally networked teams and electronic platforms to drive commercial success is an advantage.
• A genuine interest in derivatives would be an advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and an AFMA or equivalent relevant accreditation is preferred.
• Hold relevant qualifications to satisfy local and international market regulations for non-advisory sales and trading activities.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
