Our
Brussels office is looking for an Associate with experience in Corporate law and M&A to strengthen our growing team.

Your role

Imagine advising an international client on the acquisition of a Belgian target, coordinating the transaction from the first structuring discussions all the way through to closing, while working closely with colleagues in Brussels and the Netherlands.

Envisionbeing the go‑to person for a client setting up a new company, guiding them through incorporation, governance choices and shareholder arrangements, and remaining their trusted advisor as the business grows.

Your responsibilities include

  • Coordinating mergers and acquisitions, from initial structuring to closing
  • Setting up companies and advising on corporate governance matters
  • Coordinating transactions with internal and external stakeholders (clients, notaries, advisors, etc.)
  • Providing transactional advice, including:
    • Shared transfers
    • Joint ventures
    • Investments and divestments
    • Due diligence
  • Acting as a trusted advisor on corporate law questions. For example, you receive a call from a client who needs quick, pragmatic advice on a corporate restructuring or shareholder issue and you will provide clear guidance they can act on immediately.

You will work with both national and international clients.

Collaboration & team dynamics

  • You work closely with other departments in both transactional and advisory matters
  • In the context of transactions, you involve all relevant departments from the outset, including close collaboration with our Dutch offices
  • You regularly advise and coordinate with other departments on corporate law matters and consult colleagues when specific expertise is required
  • Within the Corporate team, you participate in twice‑weekly internal meetings to discuss ongoing files, business development initiatives and interesting legal topics

Your skills and experience

  • Belgian Master’s degree in Law
  • At least 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in corporate law
  • Strong language skills in Dutch, English and French
  • Business‑minded, with a focus on pragmatic and workable solutions
  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • An empathetic team player who values collaboration
