Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering (or a related field).
Technical Requirements
1.Technical Development & Automation
Scripting & Tool Development: Develop and maintain automation scripts (primarily in Python and Tcl/Tk) to automate pre-processing, solving, and post-processing workflows.
Process Integration: Build custom "wrappers" and plugins for industry-standard CAE tools (e.g., HyperWorks, Simcenter) to streamline multi-disciplinary optimization (MDO).
API Utilization: Leverage tool APIs to create seamless data exchange between simulation environments and external databases or Excel-based engineering tools.
Requirement Gathering: Assist in technical discovery sessions with customers to identify bottlenecks in their current simulation processes.
POC Execution: Develop rapid prototypes and POCs (e.g., for HyperWorks 2026 workflows) to demonstrate the value of automation in presales engagements.
Documentation: Create high-quality technical documentation and user manuals for the automation tools developed.
Validation: Ensure automated workflows produce results consistent with manual simulation methods through rigorous testing and validation.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest AI/ML trends in simulation and agentic workflows to improve internal Simulation Process Automation toolsets.
Programming: Proficiency in Python is mandatory (experience with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or PyQt is a plus). Knowledge of Tcl/Tk for legacy CAE automation is highly desirable.
Simulation Domain: Strong fundamentals in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Software Stack: Hands-on experience with at least one major CAE platform:
Altair HyperWorks (HyperMesh, HyperView, simlab) — Preferred
Siemens Simcenter / NX
STS Product automation
Data and AI learnings
Version Control: Basic understanding of Git for managing code repositories.
