Due to an exciting and strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a number of Associates to join our national Construction Advisory & Disputes team based in our Melbourne office.
You will have the opportunity to advise on major construction, engineering, energy and resource projects across Australia and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate construction lawyer to join our growing energy and infrastructure practice.
You would be joining a market leading construction dispute practice which in Australia has 10 partners plus 35 lawyers advising on some of the largest disputes in the country.
The role will see you advising clients on issues arising from live projects as well as formal dispute resolution including arbitration, court, mediation and adjudication.
Unique to the Australian market, we have built our presence entirely around the needs of businesses in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Our practice combines a wealth of transactional, advisory and contentious experience, providing legal advice on the entire lifecycle of an asset.
Our construction advisory and disputes team works side-by-side with our clients throughout the delivery phase of a project with experience in early analysis of claims, live disputes or distressed projects, adjudication under Security of Payment legislation, arbitration and litigation (both domestic and international), alternative dispute resolution including expert determination, negotiation, mediation and dispute review boards, strategic case management and negotiating the settlement of claims.
