Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Associate Configuration Analyst Software Support to join our Global Surveillance Division team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, Florida

Your responsibilities will include working with internal business partners to gather technical information, coordinates modification records for management control. Help engineers create change requests for formal requirements and formal test procedures. Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, and support. Communicated with engineers on the floor to enable them better to express their technical ideas to other engineers, management, and the customer. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take ownership of hard problems and drive to a solution, help automate and clarify the process of how we manage and communicate. It is critical that you have a desire to learn new technologies to improve our process and integrate into the team. Knowledge of software engineering practices and standards is a plus. Independent ability to complete assignments is a must. The Assoc Configuration Analyst – Software Support will apply communication and technical skills in solving problems that remove blockers from the team. The Assoc Configuration Analyst – Software Support will create documentation that will be used by Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers. Therefore, excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to use a Windows and Linux environment is required .

Basic Qualifications:
• 0 Years with bachelor’s. NOTE: Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tasking deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• An understanding of Markdown or other Wiki language
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux, ability to run scripts on Windows and Linux
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to understand and translate technical instructions
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite and Confluence.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance and special program access

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree within a technical field with relevant software experience
• Familiarity with git, Jira, and other Atlassian tool suite
• Experience using python and other scripting languages in a development environment.
• Experience configuring RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows within a secure environment.
• Experience editing modules in DOORs and the writing of requirements
• Familiarity with Nexus or other artifact management programs
• Training with formal test events and the writing of test procedures
• Light scripting in Word/Excel Macros, python, bash or other scripting language to automate and improve efficiency of tasking
• Familiarity with the Agile software development process

Primary Level Salary Range: $52,800.00 - $79,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
