This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Client Legal Administrator based in India.
This is an opportunity to support clients with corporate legal and compliance administration in a dynamic, internationally focused environment. You will help ensure that corporate and board-level obligations are handled accurately and efficiently across applicable regulations. The role offers exposure to company secretarial matters, FEMA requirements, securities issuance, and corporate filings. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders while building practical expertise in corporate administration and compliance. The position is well suited to an early-career Company Secretary looking to broaden their technical knowledge and client-facing experience. Accountabilities:
- Support corporate secretarial and legal administration activities for clients, ensuring filings and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Apply knowledge of FEMA capital account transactions, including preparation and filing of FC-GPR, FC-TRS, DI, FLA, and APR forms.
- Assist with secretarial matters for listed and public limited companies, including share issuances, authorized capital increases, share transfers, and creation, modification, and satisfaction of charges.
- Support compliance requirements relating to securities issuance, including rights issues and private placements, obtaining ISINs, and completing relevant corporate actions.
- Prepare and maintain corporate records, agreements, legal documents, and other compliance documentation.
- Monitor applicable corporate and regulatory requirements and help clients maintain compliance with relevant Indian legislation.
- Collaborate with clients, business partners, and internal teams to provide responsive, accurate, and high-quality administrative and compliance support.
Requirements:
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS) with 0–2 years of relevant experience; freshers are welcome to apply.
- Working knowledge of the Companies Act, FEMA, and related corporate compliance requirements; familiarity with import-export and labour laws is advantageous.
- Understanding of corporate secretarial procedures, securities issuance, share-related transactions, and regulatory filings.
- Ability to draft and review agreements, legal documents, correspondence, and corporate documentation with strong attention to detail.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines accurately.
- Comfortable using IT software and digital tools in a professional environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
- A meticulous, client-focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
