Purpose of role:

MUFG Bank, Ltd Singapore Branch is seeking an Associate Client Implementation Manager to join their Transaction Banking team. This role offers you the opportunity to become a central figure in delivering seamless onboarding and integration experiences for corporate clients across the region. You will be at the heart of a collaborative network, connecting clients, internal teams, and technology platforms to ensure solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively.

What you'll do:

As an Associate Client Implementation, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating end-to-end onboarding journeys for corporate clients entering the bank’s transaction banking ecosystem. Success in this role requires you to foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders alike ensuring expectations are aligned at every stage while navigating regional complexities with sensitivity. You will be empowered to drive collaboration across borders within APAC by leveraging your interpersonal skills alongside your technical proficiency.   • Provide Cash Management, Liquidity, and technical advisory support for client proposals, RFPs, and solution discussions by translating requirements into viable system capabilities.
  • Support pre-sales activities such as RFPs, demos, and solution design while ensuring post-sales alignment with Product and Operations teams.
  • Act as the client’s advocate internally while representing MUFG externally to ensure clear alignment of expectations across all stakeholders involved.
  • Manage the full client onboarding lifecycle from project initiation through preparation, execution, testing, and closure to deliver seamless integration experiences.
  • Define and drive implementation plans with clear milestones, deliverables, timelines, and coordinate internal/external stakeholders for successful execution.
  • Track progress meticulously by managing dependencies and ensuring delivery within scope and agreed timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Build strong client relationships by acting as the primary point of contact throughout the implementation lifecycle and maintaining stakeholder alignment across Sales, Product, Operations, and Technology.
  • Lead multi-country implementations across APAC by navigating cross-border complexities and driving collaboration for consistent delivery and governance standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including status reporting and risk mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to governance standards and quality control measures.
  • Oversee technical integration processes (ERP/TMS, H2H, SWIFTNet, APIs), validate system setup/documentation/configurations before go-live, ensure proper documentation of live customer profiles, facilitate knowledge transfer, and support Customer Service teams post-implementation.

  • Minimum 3+ years’ of hands-on experience in banking environments focusing on customer service-oriented roles or operational functions related to client integration is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Finance Systems or related technical discipline is required.
  • Proven delivery experience in ERP/TMS implementation projects including bank connectivity initiatives such as end-to-end onboarding/integration is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical proficiency in ISO 20022 XML (e.g., pain.001) including file construction/field mapping/schema validation with ability to translate business requirements into system specifications is expected.
  • Practical knowledge of connectivity frameworks such as H2H (SFTP), SWIFTNet (FileAct/FIN), API integrations including configuration/testing/implementation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities involving multi-country implementations across APAC with effective stakeholder coordination/delivery within timelines/scope are important.
  • Excellent client-facing/stakeholder management skills enabling clear communication of complex technical concepts to both technical/non-technical audiences are necessary.
  • Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional environments by driving collaboration across internal teams/external clients is vital.
  • Strong analytical thinking/problem-solving abilities focused on resolving integration issues/managing risks/ensuring high-quality implementation outcomes are required.
