Job Description

Looking for a different way to use your financial planning experience?

If you have experience within a financial planning business and enjoy building trust with clients, this is an opportunity to apply your industry knowledge in a unique, client-facing role.

Coastal Advisory Australia is seeking an experienced financial planning professional to manage and qualify new client enquiries and guide prospective clients through the early stage of their advice journey.

This role sits at the front of our client experience — combining meaningful client conversations with sound judgement around suitability and alignment.

The Role

This position sits at the intersection of client experience and commercial judgement.

You will be the first point of contact for new enquiries generated through targeted marketing. Your role is to:

  • Engage prospective clients in structured, professional conversations
  • Understand their objectives and high-level financial position
  • Clearly explain our advice philosophy and Discovery process
  • Assess alignment with our service model and client profile
  • Ensure clients feel comfortable, informed and well-prepared
  • Match suitable clients to the appropriate Financial Adviser

You will not be providing personal advice or managing ongoing client portfolios. Instead, you will focus on creating a strong first impression while ensuring appropriate fit and readiness before Adviser engagement.

About You

You have prior experience within a financial planning environment and understand how advice businesses operate.

You are confident discussing financial matters at a high level and can recognise client complexity and alignment. Just as importantly, you are naturally strong in client conversations — able to build rapport quickly, communicate clearly and establish trust while maintaining professional boundaries.

You combine warmth with sound judgement. You are structured, organised and comfortable working within defined processes. You understand that creating a positive client experience and ensuring organisational fit go hand in hand.

Why Join CAA?

  • A specialised client engagement role within a high-performing advice business
  • Structured systems and clear processes
  • Exposure to a growing, multi-state advice firm
  • A professional and supportive team environment
  • Ongoing development within the financial services industry

If you’re looking to use your financial planning experience in a meaningful, client-facing capacity — we’d love to hear from you.
