Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Associate Buyer. This role is based our Davenport, IA facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $59000 - $86000 a year.

What you’ll do:

The primary role is to obtain quotes from suppliers, enter quotes into the ERP system, obtain and enter promise dates for past due or unpromised purchase orders, and communicate with suppliers regarding re-scheduling or cancellation requests, helping to ensure timely delivery of required items to the Eaton MSD Davenport Factory.

In this function you will:
• Generate RFQs and solicit associated quotes from suppliers.
• Enter quotations obtained by greater Supply Chain team into Oracle ERP system
• Utilize Oracle ERP system reporting to understand re-schedule and cancellation requirements for existing purchase orders.
• Communicate re-schedule and cancellation requirements to supply base and negotiate associated outcomes.
• Solicit updates and feedback from supply base for past due purchase orders and purchase orders not yet acknowledged, and other paperwork requirements, and enter updates into Oracle ERP system or provide them to others in Supply Chain as appropriate.
• Perform duties in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations in accordance with Eaton policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparation for and implementation of new Enterprise Requirements Planning system revision:
o Data cleanup activities
o Process definition/documentation
o Creation and revision of work instructions

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
• Associates degree OR high school diploma and 1 year of experience in a procurement experience.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 70 miles of Davenport, IA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering
• Working knowledge of supply chain modules in ERP or MRP systems
• Experience reading blueprints
• MS Office experience (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
