Job Description
The Associate Business Strategy Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Commercial team by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's CRM system through close coordination with Business Development Managers and Commercial Managers. The role is responsible for tracking and analyzing key opportunity milestones, ensuring that critical documentation is prepared and maintained in line with agreed timelines, and providing administrative, reporting, and presentation support. The Associate Commercial Analyst also contributes to market intelligence activities by maintaining competitor information and updating the CRM system to reflect the current opportunity pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Business Development Managers and Commercial Managers to ensure opportunity data and key milestone dates are accurately maintained within the CRM system
- Maintain, update, and distribute competitor vessel schedules and other market intelligence reports
- Record and distribute minutes from Commercial Strategy Meetings and ensure relevant updates are reflected in the CRM system
- Take ownership of the preparation, maintenance, and periodic updating of opportunity-related documentation, including Opportunity ID Cards and Capture Plans
- Monitor proposal approval workflows and proactively follow up with stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of Proposal Gate Approvals
- Assist in the preparation of commercial presentations, reports, and other business development materials
- Provide administrative support to the Commercial team on an ad hoc basis to support business objectives and bid activities
- Support the continuous improvement of CRM data quality, reporting, and commercial processes

Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Previous experience using Salesforce.com or a comparable CRM platform
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis techniques
- Experience creating professional business presentations for management and client audiences
- Exposure to commercial, business development, bidding, or sales support activities would be advantageous
