Bring your commercial drive and partnership expertise to Novo Nordisk and help grow our business across the region.

Your new role
As Associate Business Development Director you will grow the Novo Nordisk obesity portfolio mostly in the private market by identifying and securing strategic partnerships and projects at the business area level. You will create and deliver account-based plans and roadmaps that translate commercial goals into implementable partnerships, drive cross functional execution and share outcomes to scale successful initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse markets and identify, prioritise and drive areas of opportunity for business development.
  • Develop and implement partnership opportunities, including value propositions, business cases and implementation roadmaps.
  • Contribute to building and expanding networks with healthcare partners, and commercial partners to increase access and uptake of private services.
  • Work closely with commercial, medical, finance and market access colleagues to shape business development and ensure alignment with the overall strategies and plans.
  • Drive capability development across the business area by supporting and advising counterparts in countries within the business area and sharing best practice and outcomes.

Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have at least 8 years’ experience in Business Development, Key Account Management (B2B), or a related commercial leadership role.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record in account management and negotiating B2B contracts, with international or regional exposure being a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Bring commercial/business acumen with experience working cross functionally and collaborating with finance to understand profitability by account.
  • Have relevant sector experience - pharma (innovative/no reimbursed products), OTC, FMCG, retail or ecommerce; exposure to pharmacy/retailer channels is advantageous.
  • Be fluent in English and able to operate effectively in a cross-border environment.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, strong strategic thinking, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to create compelling business cases.
