Labcorp is seeking a Associate Business Data Enablement Engineer to join the Data Program team at Brigade Twin Towers, Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore.

Job Responsibilities
Function Specific
- Build, update and maintain data loaders to support data integration. Deploy loaders to production and monitor loader performance to ensure stable and accurate data delivery.
- Resolve issues through a structured ticketing system and collaborate on root cause analysis.
- Provides technical expertise in developing solutions to data issues by leveraging data manipulation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Protocol health monitoring: Identify/fix recurring issues and implement scalable, long-term solutions.
- Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing through test transmission verification with the Data Management team.
- Follow coding standards, take part in peer code reviews, and ensure quality and maintainability of code.
- Support automation efforts and process improvement initiatives (track/document) in collaboration with technical/ data management teams.
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements for effective delivery of the data.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage the issues related to data, analyze, modify, and improve the process to ensure it best serves the interest of the organization.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions to understand requirements and deliver effective loader solutions.
- Complete mandatory Quality Assurance training sessions.
- Attend mandatory team and cross functional meetings.
- Participate in job shadowing or interdepartmental developmental opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing training initiatives regarding process and system changes or updates.
- Complete advanced training for continuing development.
- Utilize strong working knowledge of SOPs, validation standards, and work procedures to suggest potential improvements and to provide training and guidance to all staff.
- Additional work as assigned by the Management.
Data Operations & Data Integration Support
- Support the sourcing, collection, and integration of new and existing data required by the Business Data Technology & Insight team.
- Assist in maintaining core data pipelines and ETL workflows, including monitoring job status, identifying basic errors, and escalating issues.
- Perform routine checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems and repositories.
- Support the upkeep and organization of the team’s central data repository, including managing access requests and performing routine updates under guidance.
Data Quality & Data Stewardship
- Execute standard data quality checks, including validation, cleaning, normalization, and enrichment activities.
- Review data issues flagged through automated checks or stakeholder feedback, documenting findings and supporting in root‑cause analysis.
- Identify recurring or systemic data issues and provide clear documentation.
- Contribute to maintaining data quality logs, scorecards, or dashboards used for monitoring data health.
Reporting, Documentation & Governance
- Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and data handling guidelines.
- Assist in documenting data requirements, data definitions, and mapping specifications.
- Support team adherence to Data Governance policies around data privacy, security, metadata, and usage.
- Help track compliance with defined data quality or operational criteria.
Stakeholder Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Provide routine support to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Insight, Data Governance, IT and business departments.
- Participate in meetings to capture business requirements related to data delivery and relay them to senior analysts for further action.
- Maintain effective communication channels with IT colleagues and business users to ensure clarity around data processes and expectations.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Development
- Contribute to the identification of process improvements, automation opportunities, or simplifications within data activities.
- Assist in testing enhancements to data pipelines and data quality rules.
- Stay current on new data tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Participate in training, workshops, and job‑shadowing opportunities aimed at strengthening technical.
Business-As-Usual (BAU) Data Activities
- Perform routine operational tasks such as data extracts, validation runs, maintenance of master data, and updating regular reports.
- Support incident resolution processes to help ensure continuity of data flows and minimize disruptions.
- Monitor scheduled jobs and perform basic first‑line troubleshooting or alerting when issues arise.
Customer Facing
- There are no customers facing job functions in this position.
Metrics
- Support management of metrics.
- Assist with investigating or resolving issues of quality as directed.
Staff and Financial Management
- Understand implications of activities to project budgets.
Process Improvement
- Suggest process improvements where issues are seen.
- Support Six Sigma process improvement teams.
Training / SOPs
- Mentor and support other employees in their understanding and adoption to process
- Active member of SOP review teams as assigned.
Other
- Lead or assist with special projects as designated.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Technology
- Current or Prior Labcorp Intern experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology
- 6 months or more years of experience in data engineering /development position
Additional Job Standards
- Good understanding of MySQL, Python with experience or exposure to Ruby on Rails for scripting.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices in data engineering
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to code quality.
- Willingness to learn and work in a cross-functional environment.
- Comfortable working in a version controlled, collaborative development setting (e.g. Git, Agile)
- Exposure/experience with 21 CFR Part 11 in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO or related industry.
- Self-motivated, able to work with minimal oversight
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong MS/Office skills with Excel and Word.
- Understanding database query tools, such as DB Forge or Navicat, is an advantage.
- Experience in AWS Products is preferred.
