Job Description

#BeExtraordinary

At Andrew Peller Limited (APL), our mission is to be Canada’s #1 branded wine and

craft beverage company by delivering the perfect brand experience for every

lifestyle and occasion. Through our commitment to excellence, honouring our

roots, owning it, fostering belonging and driving to succeed, we inspire teammates to be extraordinary every day.

Who We Are

We are one of Canada's largest and oldest wine companies with a rich heritage in quality winemaking.

We produce some of Canada's most recognized brands and offer our teammates a challenging and rewarding employment experience.

If you’re a marketer who loves turning ideas into action and wants to build your career in brand management, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a portfolio of Canadian VQA wines.

As Associate Brand Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience across brand development, consumer marketing, innovation, media, market analysis and commercial execution. You’ll work closely with teams across marketing, winemaking, estate operations, sales and packaging to bring brands and new products to market.

This is a great opportunity for a curious, commercially minded marketer who enjoys variety, takes ownership and wants to grow their experience in the wine and consumer packaged goods industry.

What the teammate will be responsible for

  • Support the development and execution of marketing plans for the Western VQA portfolio.
  • Bring brand strategies and positioning to life through consumer campaigns, promotions, advertising, media and in-store activations.
  • Support new product launches, innovation projects and line extensions from concept through execution.
  • Conduct market, category and brand analysis to identify opportunities and inform marketing decisions.
  • Track marketing initiatives, measure business impact and assess ROI.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure accurate tracking of marketing spend.
  • Work with internal and external partners, including creative and design teams, to develop marketing assets and POS materials.
  • Maintain marketing calendars and coordinate promotions, activations and product launches.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including winemaking, supply, estates, packaging and sales to ensure projects move forward successfully.
  • Support commercial plans for new and existing products.
  • Coordinate marketing administration, including label and product initiation and invoice processing.
  • Stay close to the market, consumer and competitive landscape to help identify opportunities for the portfolio.

What experiences and knowledge you will bring to this role

  • Experience across core marketing fundamentals, ideally within a consumer, CPG, beverage, retail or related environment.
  • A strong interest in brand building and a desire to grow your career in brand management.
  • Experience taking projects from concept through to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data and insights into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with internal and external partners.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and the confidence to take ownership and move projects forward.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or other data analytics platforms is an asset.
  • An interest in wine and a willingness to develop your understanding of the category and consumer.
  • Flexibility to occasionally attend evening or weekend industry events, research or activations.
  • A post-secondary education in Marketing, Business or a related field is an asset.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and ready to take the next step in their marketing career—someone who can balance the big picture with the details needed to bring great brands to life.
