THIS POSITION IS AN ONSITE DAILY ROLE.
We are looking for an Associate Biostatistician for either our Maple Grove, MN, Santa Clara, CA or Burlington, MA locations.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Biostatistician to join Abbott’s medical device clinical research organization. This position includes providing statistical expertise in clinical study design, writing statistical analysis plans and reports, performing statistical analysis and programming, checking data quality, preparing analysis datasets, generating and/or validating data listing, and tables/reports. This position will also assist on additional study projects or tasks which may arise.
Working under supervision by the statistical manager, provides statistical support to clinical study teams and external teams.
Job Duties

STATISTICAL ANALYSES
-Assistsin the implementation of protocolmethodologyand statistical analysis plans
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of statistical input into reports or decisions
- Responsible for computer programs that areaccurate,efficientand well documented
-Demonstratesbasic understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies
SCIENTIFIC REPORTS AND PUBLICATIONS
- Responsible for accuracy of statistical tables and data listings, and accuracy of report text
-Identifiesand corrects flaws in interpretation of results, inconsistency in presentation or inference
CONSULTATION
- Providesaccurateandtimelyanswers to routine questions from clients, and scientific insight when answering nonstandard questions
TRAINING, SUPERVISION, MENTORING
- Can provide formal training to non-statisticians
-Describeprimaryresponsibilities of this position.
-Responsible for implementing andmaintainingthe effectiveness of the quality system.
- Ensures accuracy of report text and consistency between summary tables in the body of reports andthecorresponding statistical tables and listings.
-Assistswith thedevelopment ofquality protocols, CRF, schema, and reportsperagreed timelines.
- Providesaccurateandtimelyanswers to routine questions from clients,
- Communicates an understanding of basic clinical principles for his/her project and acts inaccordance withthose principles.
- Can clearly communicate basic statistical concepts to nonscientists.
- Informssupervisorormanageronimportant issuesin a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
BachelorsDegree(± 16 years),Bachelor's Degreein Statistics or related field
Master's Degree or PhD Preferred
Minimum 1 year experience
The base pay for this position is
$79,500.00 – $138,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
