We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Automation Test Engineer to join our testing and quality engineering team. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining automated test solutions to support system delivery and improve software quality. This position offers strong learning opportunities to grow automation and testing skills under the guidance of senior team members. Job Duties:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing scripts using tools and technologies such as Ruby, Python, Selenium, and Cucumber

  • Execute automated test cases, analyse test results, and document and report defects to user and development teams in a timely and structured manner

  • Optimize existing automated test scripts and develop new tests to improve test coverage, testing efficiency, and reduce manual testing efforts

  • Study business requirements and functional specifications to design functional test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation

  • Execute test cases, manage defects, and support defect tracking, retesting, and closure

  • Assist business users in preparing test plans, test cases, and test result summary reports

  • Work closely with developers, business users, and QA team members to ensure testing requirements are clearly understood

  • Learn from senior team members and actively participate in training and skill development activities related to automation testing and quality engineering

  • Contribute to timely project delivery in line with agreed scope, schedule, and quality standards

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years of automation testing experience
  • Basic understanding of automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as Ruby, Python, or Java
  • Basic knowledge of testing and development tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of Linux commands and working in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Working knowledge of web technologies and protocols, including HTTP, HTML, and practical use of XPath
  • Good English reading and writing skills; Cantonese speaking ability is preferred
  • Good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • A good team player with initiative, able to proactively engage with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on new challenges
