
Associate Attorney - Workers Compensation
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation Defense practice. This is a fully remote position available to candidates residing anywhere in Florida. The successful candidate will manage an independent caseload while collaborating closely with a seasoned Partner to develop litigation strategies and provide high-quality representation to our clients.
This role is designed for a practitioner looking to deepen their expertise within a sophisticated, well-established team. We value precision in legal writing and technical proficiency in medical record analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of Workers' Compensation defense matters from inception through resolution.
Partner with senior attorneys to execute complex litigation strategies and client consultations.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of medical records to guide case development and liability assessments.
Draft substantive legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
Maintain proactive communication with clients, carriers, and employers to ensure strategic alignment.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative remote environment.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of practice experience specifically within Workers’ Compensation.
Licensure: Juris Doctorate (JD) and an active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
Skills: Exceptional analytical, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to manage deadlines and utilize legal technology effectively in a virtual setting.
Analysis: Demonstrated experience reviewing complex medical records and drafting concise legal arguments.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience working in a fully remote or hybrid legal environment.
Comfort with virtual court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
