About the Position

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our growing defense litigation practice. This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 1-5 years of experience to develop their litigation skills while handling a diverse caseload of personal injury defense matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing superior legal representation to our clients, which include insurance carriers, corporations, and individual defendants.

As an Associate Attorney specializing in personal injury defense, you will work closely with senior partners and clients to defend against claims involving automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability, and general negligence matters. This position provides significant courtroom experience and client interaction, allowing you to build a strong foundation for a successful career in civil litigation. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload while receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced trial attorneys.

Primary Responsibilities

Case Management & Litigation

• Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters from inception through resolution, including trial when necessary
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex liability and damages issues
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents with minimal supervision
• Prepare detailed case assessments, litigation strategies, and budget projections for clients
• Attend and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses
• Take plaintiff depositions to develop case strategy and evaluate settlement value
• Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions and trial testimony
