Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop working knowledge of power systems, protection, and all related SEL products.
2. Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.

3. Applies basic principles, theories, and concepts to develop solutions to problems of limited scope with significant technical and planning direction.
4. Participate in Engineering Development Program, where applicable.

5. Contributes, collaborates, or co-authors application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and/or technical conference papers.

6. Suggests process improvements and participates in WCM initiatives.
7. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.
8. Understand. Create. Simplify.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering degree
Ability to write and speak English coherently

Listens carefully; provides positive, helpful and professional communication to internal and external customers

Competent technical training, speaking and writing skills

Models high standards of honesty and integrity
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Ability to travel
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications
Experience using SEL products
